Bereits am 30. März 2006 wurde an der Cookes Road bei Conondale (etwa 100 km nördlich von Brisbane) in Queensland die erste Kornkreisformation des Jahres 2006 in einer Wiese entdeckt.
Es handelt sich um zwei einfache Kreise, ganz ähnlich der Formation, die bereits 2004 nur wenige Kilometer entfernt entdeckt wurden. Auch die Ausrichtung der neuen Formation stimmt mit jener der damaligen vier Kreise überein.

FIRST CROP CIRCLE OF 2006 DISCOVERED DOWN UNDER

On March 30, 2006, the first crop circle formation of 2006 - a set of two simple circles - was discovered in a grassy meadow aside the Cookes Road at Conondale (about 100 km north of Brisbane) in Queensland.
The new formation was found just a few kilometres away from the location where a similar formation was discovered in 2004. The compass line up of the centres of the two circles, is said to be just about exactly the same as the orientation of the line of centres of the four circle circle formation of 2004.
Further investigation are still pending...
